I graduated from Miami University of Ohio in 1992 with a B.S. degree in Art Education.  After teaching elementary and junior high a couple of years, I traveled in the military with my husband and four children, and landed in Minnesota. 

I paint to brighten spaces, uplift spirits, and comfort souls.   

I love nature and especially flower gardens.  The colors, shapes, movement, and visitors to the garden invigorate me.  I love the fresh air after a rain and the wind blowing through the plants.  My artwork highlights the effects of nature to lower stress, invigorate, and increase happiness. I have always felt most peaceful, most grounded, most at home when I am surrounded by God's creations.

I believe that art and nature have the power to improve people's lives. Surrounding yourself with beauty is good for the soul.  My favorite responses of others viewing my art are: "I feel like I've been on a vacation! " "I can't help but smile, your work just fills me up with light and happiness!" And from a first grader walking into a gallery show, "I just feel like I'm in Heaven."
